Did Facebook knowingly deceive advertisers? As per newly unsealed court documents submitted in response to a 2018 class action suit, Facebook overstated the potential reach of its advertisements.

Internal emails from 2017 suggest that Sheryl Sandberg, COO had known about it for many years. Issues and proposals raised by product managers and senior executives were rejected citing- “significant” impact on the company’s revenue.
